Our events provide unrivaled access to sports icons in premium hospitality settings for a business membership community. Founded and headquartered in NYC, Thuzio sports events and media was established in 2017 and founded by Tiki Barber (New York Giants), Mark Gerson (GLG), and Jared Augustine (Seamless/GrubHub).
Thuzio is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to add to our growing team. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for expanding Thuzio’s corporate membership community by selling sponsorships and memberships to Fortune 1000 companies across multiple verticals. As VP of Business Development, you’ll be tasked with opening and establishing relationships with senior decision-makers. You will work directly with Thuzio’s key customer segments to generate new business by leveraging Thuzio’s event platform for their client and business development goals. To be successful you will be self-motivated, intelligent, and a relentless seller. You’ll bring a love for sports, networking, and being part of a fast-moving team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Excel prospecting, connecting, and building relationships with executive and senior decision makers in sales and marketing groups in target verticals.
Build a revenue pipeline to exceed closing 1m+ in revenue and adding 75-100 new accounts in year 1.
Manage your sales pipeline in CRM with the ability to show your path to achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
Produce accurate updates on prospecting activity, sales pipeline, appointments, and event recaps.
Contribute to weekly sales meetings and share best practices across your territories and verticals.
Responsible for closing inbound leads, generating leads through referrals, prospectings, and being an active participant in networking groups and conferences relevant to your target verticals.
Seek to grow existing accounts, once an entry-level commitment is established, by upselling Thuzio clients into additional events and sponsorship opportunities.
6-8 years of enterprise sales experience as a consistent top performer.
Have superior command navigating a b2b sale with the ability to think strategically, identifying points of entry and decision makers.
Possess a deep understanding of customized sponsorship packages.
Knowledge and/or established relationships in key verticals preferred.
Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate.
A great attitude.
Superior written and oral skills required to engage in high-level discussions with prospects and create customized sales presentations.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and events in your territories.
