Dante Hall is a former NFL wide receiver and return specialist. Over the course of his nine-year professional career, he played for the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams. Ranked the 10th greatest return specialist in NFL History by the NFL Network, he was also referred to as the “X-factor” and “The Human Joystick” for his incredible agility during returns. Selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, Dante made his NFL debut as a kick/punt returner before becoming a mainstay in the Chiefs’ lineup in 2002. He scored his first NFL touchdown off a 60-yard reception and went on to return 1 kickoff and 2 punts for touchdowns, the best in franchise history. He earned his first NFL Pro Bowl selection as a kick returner in 2002 and became the second player in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt return for a touchdown in the same game. The following year, he returned a kickoff or a punt for a touchdown four games in a row, another NFL record. He was again named to the Pro Bowl team in 2003. In 2004, Dante returned the opening kickoff 97-yards for a touchdown, which made him the Chiefs’ franchise leader in career kickoff return touchdowns and career special teams touchdowns. He also set single-season records with 68 kickoff returns and a career-high 1,718 kickoff return yards. In a game against the Denver Broncos in 2006, he became the sixth player ever to garner 10,000 career kick return yards. He played for the St. Louis Rams for one season before retiring from the game in 2008. Dante scored 21 touchdowns and made 162 receptions with 1,747 receiving yards and 12,397 total return yards over the course of his career. He continues to rank third in all-time kickoff return touchdowns in the NFL and holds several career and single-season Chiefs franchise records.

Originally from Lufkin, Texas, Dante attended Texas A&M University and played as a running back and return specialist. He was the leading rusher for the Aggies for three consecutive seasons and was the only player in school history with more than 2,000 career rushing yards and over 500 yards in both career punt return and kickoff return yards. During his first season playing for Texas A&M, he was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and gained a school-record 573 yards on punt returns. He led the Aggies to a South Division championship in both 1997 and 1998 and was a member of the Big 12 Championship team in 1998. His 4,707 all-purpose yards place him second in school history. Dante co-authored Dante Hall: X-Factor, which details his journey from Texas A&M to the NFL and was named to the NFL 2000s All-Decade team in 2010. He worked as a community ambassador for the Houston Texans after retiring and currently resides in Southern California.
